The New Motorcycle Tests

Whilst Blakes Driving School does not provide motorcycle training, we thought it might help to keep visitors to out site informed of changes to the motorbike test. From Monday 27th April 2009 all motorcycle tests will be divided into two parts. These will be:

• Part 1 – a specified off road manoeuvres test
• Part 2 – a road riding test

There will be 67 test centres throughout the country conducting part 1 tests and 104 conducting part 2. These are strategically placed so the majority of people can reach a motorcycle test centre within 45 minutes.

The current motorcycle test fee is £80.00, this will be divided into two for;

• Part 1: £10.00
• Part 2: £70.00

From the 5th October 2009 the fee for the practical motorcycling test will increase to £90.50 and split as follows:

• Part 1: £15.50
• Part 2: £75.00

 

To successfully get your motorcycle driving license you will need to pass all the tests in the following order:

1. Motorcycle Theory Test
2. Part 1
3. Part 2
